Have you been longing to connect more deeply to your innate creativity? Express yourself through design, creation and artistry? Allow the freedom of creation to flow through you as you invite your own uniqueness to play?

Handwork Revival ~ A monthly remembrance ~  A space to weave the sacred, creation and your own uniqueness through your hands!

Here begins the space for support, learning, connection and expansion to unfold as we gather in circle, share our gifts, our projects and our materials and the stories connected to them. Come to gain inspiration, witness others and build conscious connection to other creatives. 

This circle has been brewing within me for some time and now it is ready to be birthed: the connection between sacred and physical creation!

As guide of this space, I will share my learnings, experience and expertise in handwork and support you to continue your creative journey or begin it by offering teaching, project ideas, resources and material sourcing tips! 

MY JOURNEY AS CREATOR, MY OFFERING, MY SERVICE.....

For as long as I can remember, I have created purposeful art to support my needs right from childhood, through to student, traveller, mother and wife. Creation is part of my being in this world. I've always been very specific in my vision, and so I tend to create the pieces I need because I then have a much deeper connection and love for them when I use them.

Through primary school I was guided to trust my innate creativity. We created through weaving, woodwork, stone carving, hand sewing, felting, doll making, dyeing, paper making, clay work, knitting and crocheting. This learning and connection has continued into adulthood....

Through each important life phase I have heard an inner call to create a meaningful piece for my own use. Be it a leather satchel, hand tanned, designed and stitched for my teacher training years or bone carved earrings, broach and shoes for my wedding, knitted clothing for my children, teaching myself to sew with a machine to begin my own business, create recycled and reusable items for my babies nappy years, a travel and mother bag for Mum days, or my own outfits and jewellery for my re-birthing and naming ceremony, creation is all around me.

My longing to share this love for beauty, quality, connection and creation is here now, and I invite you into this space to begin your journey...

Whether you are a creative seeking more connection, inspiration, remembrance and healing, or you hold stories around your own creative blocks and wish for group support as you begin your journey, or you wish to discover the power that lies within you, your lineage and all that you know, this space welcomes you. I will act as support and guide as we explore your desires, ideas and inspirations and bring them into the physical world.

YOUR TICKET INCLUDES:

- guided mediation, story reading, design prompts and journalling 

- facilitated introduction, sharing and teaching space within circle

RESOURCES provided through my studio supplies:

- vintage/foraged fabrics, laces, cottons and doilies

- weaving frames to borrow

- modelling clay, paper, crayons and pastels

- weaving vines, greenery and florals

- wool, knitting needles and crochet hooks

This is the power point to connect to your own creative pulse, a space to empower you on your creative journey, to continue at home, in daily life and when you feel the inner call. While I will provide the resources I have in my studio, I will guide you to source and build your own material collection, teaching you to begin to feel the deep connection you can have to all that you gather around you to create. 

I source local, recycled, vintage and sustainable materials wherever possible and I will encourage to do the same. This earth has countless resources, far too many now, and many of us have so much lying asleep in our cupboards, awaiting new and revived journeys. It's time to bring them into the light and discover the healing, calming and motivating nature creation can have upon us when we take the time.

This circle is open to 6 adult participants with their little ones if they wish. My 4 yr old son Manu will be attending and will either have his finger knitting to do, stitching or he will play with our home toys. We do not use tech/screens as toys and have many interactive options to play with. If you bring your child please respect our home and our belongings and assist in any tidy up of toys before leaving my space. Our circle will flow through deep connection times, to lighter, chatty times where our children can flow in and out. This circle is newly birthing, and I will assess how it is unfolding as we gather monthly. At one point I may wish to make it an adults only circle so that we can have longer focus times and deeper connection, but I will decide that as the journey unfolds.

A FINAL NOTE:

This is a safe space to feel held, loved and supported as creators and human beings. It is a deep honour to hold each and every one of you as we remember our own connection to our deepest selves. This is an inclusive, loving and open space where each one of us will be heard and respected. It is not an advice giving space or gossip circle, it is imbued with sacred intentionality and I ask that you please respect these values I so dearly hold in my heart.
