We Are nature

We Are Nature ~ a nude artistic imagery circle ~ is an Ode to our unique beauty, our gift of embodied life, and our connection to the natural realm, of which we are infinitely one…

These nature circles are inspired by sacred space and song that Lauren brings together with Phoebe Hofsteede’s gift of photography. They are a gift to ourselves and each other, acting as a beautiful milestone within the journey of life. They are curated to foster healing, awareness and self-love, as well as release, empowerment and joy! We hold these circles in secluded nature spots in Samford Valley, Qld. We gather for ceremony, group and individual photo creation, and connective time as women.

Thank you to each of the women who have given permission for their beauty to be shared with you all. May these images inspire and move you, and may you receive them with openness. All images are taken by Phoebe Hofsteede. Please honour her devotion to this work.

*Beauty with no filters. We are like the rocks and water that surround us…*

*Every shape, curve and texture embodies our unique stories that form our thoughts and shape our existence. Come to peace with what you have, and inner freedom shall be felt…. (We Are Nature, 2023)*

*We are the water. We are the earth. We are the air. We are the fire. We are the clay of this Earth….*

So as you came, so you shall be held. In your skin, your everything. Held by nature, held by sisters, held by your creator.

We gather with the intention to remember our infinite connection to nature. To feel the empowerment that exists in our very core, in our skin and in being fully seen and held. We gather to share our own empowerment process in learning to become comfortable in our own skin. Powerful, beautiful, accepting and gentle.

We have not learned through mass media to be loving and gentle with the bodies we were born with. We have been taught to compare, judge, punish and sacrifice our natural beauty. We have built up walls, layers of shame, and we have often been hurt, and so we can feel we are not worthy of the beauty we possess.

Each of us holds something so precious: that is, our uniqueness, our beauty with no filter. Our bodies which gift us the ability to express ourselves in this physical existence. Our bodies which carry us and endure so much. Our bodies which heal and grow and change and develop.

Our bodies endure countless phases, many healings and transformations, and they hold so much. It is only our minds which hinder us loving each and every step. If only we could see ourselves through someone else’s eyes (lens) we may understand that each phase is worth honouring and loving, and that there is beauty in it all….

Our circles are a dynamic experience of photography, ceremony, visualisation, and group and individual sounding and singing immersed in nature. These practices allow us to embody our feelings, and by taking the step to do it in our skin, we feel freedom and empowerment together, like nothing else we have experienced. Within the embrace of nature, we access new parts of ourselves in community with other women. Together we overcome, feel, and heal. These circles are a gift and an Ode to our lives.

We experience guided group photography as well as our our personal photoshoot with Phoebe. These images are given to participants following the events and some images that are approved by all members of the circle are shared online as inspirational images for future events.

….Blessed be each day I inhabit this clay home. Blessed be my remembrance of this incredible privilege to be in a body. May I always seek and create the space for the eternal to speak through me, and may my soul have space to illuminate its awakening.

May I learn to be a friend to my seperate nature, my own soul, and to the process of death, of which I am surely headed. May I dissolve the fear of this letting go and this transformation, and may I walk with my own power and surety in being here.

May the depth of the eternal bring solace to my journey through embodied life here and may beauty, trust and generosity be the fabric of my life journey.

May I always trust in the process of life and belonging here, and all that this journey brings me.

I am free and sovereign and my deepest treasures belong to my soul’s nature, which lives invisibly through and with me.

I bless this connection and this knowing. The eternal and the visible, belong as one….

Being together in this way is at first, awkward, but after a few moments, it somehow feels so normal. None of us have anything to hide, we are all equal in a beautiful way, standing before each other in the way we once came into the world. By doing this we start to unravel consriction and limiting beliefs, and feel our own freedom start to pulse through us. We also notice how our body is one with the earth, and how seperate we place ourselves from nature in our civilised, materialistic society. We realise this is what our ancestors would have done without question. Together we venture to a space where the essence of those who came before is felt.
*We leave with a distinct inner power that says, “I CAN!” because I just did that!!*

I rest in my skin. I feel fully. I connect authentically. I dance expressively and I drop all limiting layers, to feel fully myself. In my skin, I am home.

With sisters, I access a power unknown, as we all drop into the space, shed layers, and truly BE, just as we were born.

There’s no shame here darling, all of you is welcome. May you know this, feel this, and trust this.

May you open yourself to be seen in your fullness.

In my skin, I access full embodiment of my physicality. Because my sensory experience is heightened, considerable sensual feedback is flowing through me, I am experiencing new sensations in each moment. There is so much more of the body to be felt without clothes. This allows for greater presence, it helps me to slip out of the mind, and into the moment where the sensation arises.
