~ Abigail ~ The MEADOW edit ~

$85.00

The Meadow Edit’s 10th Bonnet is a true epicycle! Salmon linen shirt / seersucker tablecloth. Please note the grass shadow in the brim image!

Each bonnet in the series is a unique art piece which is reversible and custom fit upon purchase. They are made with a double layered brim, and should be lovingly cared for to protect their shape.

They protect the cheeks, brow and face from sun and have a cosy and comfortable fit, allowing for you to pop your hair bun (if you have one) inside your hat, which is a wonderful blessing on hot days!

The bonnet can be hand washed or wiped and the brim ironed. For best results with brim shaping keep your bonnet on a hat stand or big jar!

Thank you so much for viewing my treasured bonnets which have become a focus on my sewing journey since beginning in 2016. I use only vintage, upcycled, foraged and gifted fabrics and buttons, and buy quality new sewing cottons for strength and durability. This journey of using only sustainable fibres has led me down a path of discovery, history and community building. I have also established lines of trust between myself and the old folks who have passed down their treasured family heirlooms for me to use with love and care. This is such an honour and a blessing to receive precious things from loved ones. I never find the same fabrics, and I am always learning. I absolutely love the mystery and excitement of it all!

Within my sewing, I adore the details, the small pieces I put together, and dreaming of the most beautiful combinations of fabric. My studio is my hideaway, dream space and sanctuary, and it is such an important part of my life as stay-at-home-mother.

Each purchase is sent with a reusable square of vintage fabric, in a recyclable box.

Look out for the next series…! I can’t wait to share it with you!!

Bonney blessings my dears!
