Voice Empowerment Song Circles
17th February - 31st March, 2025.
7 weeks on Monday nights, 6:30-8pm at Prana Yoga Studio, Closeburn
Join Lauren for weekly connection through song, sound and stillness in circle at Prana Yoga on Monday nights in Closeburn from 6:30 - 8pm. Work through a range of breath awareness practices, sound making and group sound creation spaces, simple chants and hymns, as well as canons and harmonies. Participants will have the chance to take home songlines, recordings and written words for their own practice.
This is a seven week commitment that will bring you to access your creative plane in a new way - working with a group to regularly calm and tone your nervous system through your own voice and experiencing listening, giving, receiving and creating in a safe space.
These candlelit circles are akin to circles we knew from the beginning of time. We share our presence while sitting on the earth, leaving our judgements behind us, we seek for our own self awareness, and a deeper connection to those in our community.
This work is not just to learn to sing, it is to learn to access your own stillness and power through gentleness. When we sing, our mind is focussed on our sounding, and we experience a profound sense of presence. When we sing in circle, all of our hearts and energy systems come into the same harmonious resonance. When we leave circle, we take this gift along with us and bring it to other areas of our lives.
It is my deepest wish to share this peace, inspiration and pure joy with you.
I have been singing in circle since I was 6 years old, and now at 35 years of age I look back through my singing work as a caregiver of children and adults with special needs, learning to teach children to sing in my Steiner teaching training, my countless experiences of singing in women’s circles since the age of 18, singing for my unborn children, and my newborn babes, singing myself through pain, grief and heartache, and creating a new kind of sharing circle for women (and now men) through sound and voice work.
I shall be singing each Monday from 6:30 pm sharp till 8 pm and we begin on 17th February and finish on Monday 31st March.
Weekly cost is just under $25 or pay $170 upfront to assist in paying the venue fees. Online, cash or card payments on site welcomed. Please text me 0414 377 120 for enquiries.
Casual tickets are $30 - paying for the term is a saving of $40.

Refund Policy
Full refund up to 7 days prior to beginning the term.
Absences during term:
1st circle you miss is not added to any future credits. If you miss more than 1 circle the value of the circles are kept as a credit to use for future events or in the Creator Shop for up to 6 months from the date of the end of term.
